Why Did We Create Fables
For over 20 years, I've worked in this industry.
I started my career as a Development Producer, but over time, I grew tired of not having control over my own creations.
So I made the move into indie comics...more specifically, webcomics. That's because it allowed me to keep my full creative control over my work.
Back then, if you wanted to publish online, you had to build and maintain your own website. That's exactly why TopWebComics was created...to help creators promote themselves and grow their audiences.
And it worked.
Indie creators were reaching hundreds of thousands... even millions of readers.
Then, the platforms arrived.
Large companies built their success on the backs of independent creators.
But once they cornered the market, the rules changed.
Discovery shifted toward exclusive content they owned...and the indie community was left behind.
Creators who once reached massive audiences suddenly struggled to reach even a fraction of that.
There had to be a better way...
Creators like me, are storytellers and not programmers.
They shouldn't have to spend hours maintaining websites just to be seen.
They should be able to focus on what matters: creating stories and connecting with their audience.
That's why we built Fables Pro.
Fables is more than a platform. It's a creator-first community.
We've built a space that gives creators the freedom and control of their own website, without the technical barriers.
We handle the heavy lifting behind the scenes so creators can focus on building their work and their brand.
Fables is designed to be fair.
Every series has an equal opportunity for discovery.
No one is pushed ahead of others through exclusivity or ownership structures.
Because at the end of the day, Indie-Creators are not competing with each other.
We're on the same journey with similar dreams.
And Fables was built to support that journey.
