79 years after the Old Order fell, a middle-schooler under the Global Government named Kevin Thomas Kagero discovers an illegal fantasy book in a hidden, dilapidated nursery of a university's library, and takes it home with him, inadvertently freeing a fabricant in the form of a lightningcolt named Ecco. Having once dethroned an incompetent Warlock King in his books, Ecco, his new friend Kevin, and the boy's gang of social rejects must now overthrow a more powerful regime through subtler means.
