She seems to have some sort of past with Maple, but it's unclear how she knows her, but she seems dedicated to Maple's protection.
Age: 73 Pronouns: He/Him (Cis) Species: Human Occupation: School Headmaster Status: Alive Likes: Noir Films, Dogs, Fedoras Dislikes: Alcohol, Disorder Maple's grandfather and the Patriarch of the Cane family. He is a Geist Hunter of immense skill and power, wielding his Celestial Arts Gear to protect his family and community since he was a younger man. He lost his left arm in a final battle against The Demon Fox Goddess. He and the Fox know each other but the history of their relationship is not widely known.
Age: 48 Pronouns: She/Her (Cis) Species: Human Occupation: Software Engineer/Ex-Geist Hunter Status: Alive Likes: Folk Music, Chess, Coffee Dislikes: Bossy people, Authority, The GHU Caramel or Cara as she's often called is Maple's mother, and a former Geist Hunter, she was there at the final battle with the Fox where she nearly died. Sometime between those events and the present day a rift formed between her and her father causing her to leave the world of geist hunters behind, protecting Maple from that world as best she could. She now works as a successful software engineer and has done her best to provide a happy life for her family. She is also FIERCELY protective of her kids to the point of becoming a demon in their defense.
Age: 50 Pronouns: He/Him (Cis) Species: Human Occupation: Bookstore Owner/Private Investigator Status: Alive Likes: Suckers, Coffee, Crypto Zoology Dislikes: Winter, Golf, Asparagus Toffee Frost is Maple's Father and Caramel's husband, he runs a small book store and occasionally moonlights as a consultant for the local sheriff's office. Toffee is an eccentric fellow, he's well educated and a brilliantly observant man but he's also obsessed with conspiracy theories and the supernatural. He occasionally comes home bringing his wife and kids strange objects he bought at a curio shop that supposedly bring good luck or have other supernatural properties and benefits.

She and Caramel lost touch but last she heard Izzy was working as a school librarian.

He and Caramel lost touch but last she heard Vincent was working as a Teacher.
