@ Janus: That's why you keep your arms forward in a fight. You may not have been able to fully block that knee, but you could have reduced it's impact significantly.
@ Arthur: Hey, you threw that knee really well! Clinching your sister and everything, good on you! Shame you abandoned the attack right afterwards, though. That knee could have been an opening to end the fight.
@ Both: If you just learn some of the basics of stand-up fighting (keep your hands up to guard, how to transition between attacks) and how to throw people, and you could become pretty decent, especially if you have strength even remotely close to Wiglaf's. This all said by someone who is NOT proficient in combat, but has some knowledge of the basics.

What I was referring to as "Ending the fight" is ensuring the other person can't continue to attack. Specifically, what I was imagining Arthur doing after that knee is a series of movements that I think would be complicated to draw. I will now list them:
Arthur goes from the Knee to stomping down, preferably onto Janus's foot. He then slips his foot behind her leg and pushes Janus. This gets Janus onto the ground and there's a half dozen ways to end the fight from there, one of which being "Run away using the time she was on the ground to get an insurmountable advantage while she chases you". Another of which being "Dozens of different pins, many of which were designed for wrestling, though you'll have to deal with pinches and mild flailing".
