I spoke about it during the original run but I always wanted to restrict how fast Suzanne would be able to use her powers. Originally, I figured I could restrict her use of her gills by saying the pool was full of chlorine, but I kinda realized that problem would be really easy to fix. So I changed it to a more psychological issue. Not breathing with her lungs is scary.
