Fables readers, you get a nice perk. You know cameos and the occasional crossover are common in webcomics. Well, Charlie and I decided to make a crossover that actually had lasting impact in both our comics. Groovy Kinda is highly episodic, but M9 Girls has this very tight continuity, so the crossover had to be kind of a ret-con. Well, you guys get to read the crossover on its proper continuity. The M9 Girls meet the gang at Groovy, Kinda, and one of their characters decides to stay permanently in the M9 universe. The things we do for unrequited crushes! Enjoy Charlie's unmistakable art, Rulo worked on colors and most of the story, while Séreméla (Shadow) did the inks.
Any was an unassuming college student, until she was offered an intern job by a handsome and reclusive benefactor.
Along with her friends, snarky Pato, caffeine-fueled Clau, and sociable Karlita, Any thought that they were getting an ordinary scientific research job. Instead, they gained the ability to channel the primordial cosmic energy and manifest amazing powers, and became the M9 Girls!
Cherished friendships will be tested. Powerful enemies will emerge. Fashion choices will be questioned.
Armed with their newfound abilities, Any, Pato, Clau, and Karlita, will protect the world from evil forces, while trying to finish college with a decent GPA.
