First page of the first proper Karamador story, continuing the adventures of Sir Kiljaos Windmane the lion paladin of wind in the world of Karamador, in its era of renessance-fantasy. This is the first of the comics I've been making at work for
different things and are meant to be at least vaguely have something to do with my hometown Raahe. So I started a series of stories about Sir Kiljaos's quests at his home in the town Braheastad, which is based on town of Raahe in it's 1600's form, when it was founded. The name itself is a slight variation of the town's swedish name Brahestad.

The stories themselves I thought up to be usually based on local stories and legends and other finnish and scandinavian legends in general. This first comic is inspired by local ghost stories about a fairy in nearby Tasku island, that is said to aid fishermen during their times in the island and drive off bad people.

For the shot of the town in opening panel I used an illustrated map of Raahe from 1659 as a reference, and for the church on panel 3, which is based on the town's old church built in 1655, I took reference from
few photographs of it from late 1800's, taken before it burned down in 1908.
