Look for water immediately. In many remote areas of an island are hidden underground “wells” just waiting to be dug up. Select a place near a clump of healthy trees and start digging. It could be 2-3 feet deep, but fresh water’s out there. Be sure to get a fire going too, because you must boil that water down so any bacteria is destroyed! If you’re really lucky, you’ll come across a pool with a waterfall cascading over rocks! This is great because that’s a natural filtration unit, making the water safe to swim in or drink from!
