I thought about making this into two updates, but decided it flows better as one cohesive scene, even though there are more panels in it than any other comic to date. Also, how do you like Jade's new outfit? I'm still figuring out a lot of her aesthetic, but I feel this is how she'd dress for a lunchtime date, at least.
As far as the spell goes, I ran some generic protection spell-sounding words through a latin translator, changed some letters around, and used a magic runes font. Essentially, she's guarding herself from any sort of sorcery or other harmful magics, although we'll have to see how well that works out for her.
Indistinguishable is a story about the last witch on Earth finding her way through the mundane world at the close of the 21st century. After she falls in love with tech genius Claire, she gets caught up in a whirlwind romance full of mystery, conspiracy, and a revolutionary war. A cyber-fantasy romantic adventure.
