Once upon a time, Earth was teeming with magic—elves and fae, unicorns and dragons—until humans screwed it up, as they do. Tired and fearful of human persecution, the king and queen of the fae gathered their folk and fled to a new world, leaving Earth a lot less sparkly.

Six centuries later, Faerie is a land of wild magic, simmering rebellions, and the occasional predatory unicorn. Puck, King Oberon’s closest advisor, was banished nearly twenty years ago for losing something pretty important: the heir to the throne. Now that he’s found her, convincing her—and her skeptical friend—that he’s not a raving madman is only the beginning. Faerie isn't the same world he left behind, and his first task may be convincing the world it *wants* its lost heir back.
