In a rain-soaked flashback, Ventrik reaches towards grenades hanging the belt of a Metascience security guard while wearing a yellow rain poncho. Yellow caption boxes contain his internal thoughts as he analyzes the explosives design, questioning the type of impact technology - air impact of daisy cutter.

In the next panel, chaos erupts as multiple blue-and-gray armored Uberreich Security soldiers advance towards the line of hydroponic plants that Ventrik and Metascience security team use as a shield. Ventrik has tossed the armed grenade into the crowd of Uberreich security amidst warnings to take cover.

A large central panel shows the effects of the detonation as the Uberreich attackers crash violently into the hydroponic hedge and Metascience guards. Bodies slam together as explosions and impact sound effects fill the scene. One soldier collapses across Ventrik while another attacker tumbles overhead. Blood stains portions of the armor during the struggle. Rows of vertical hydroponic plants form the background behind the combat.

A close-up panel shows Ventrik pinned beneath one of the fallen guards, partially covered by the yellow poncho as he groans in pain.

In the final panel, the scene returns to the present in the murky green "cess". Waist deep in the pool, Tanya kneels holds an unconscious Ventrik, keeping his head above the water as Scylla screams nearby outside the frame. Ripples spread across the green water surrounding them.
